There was an article we read in the office recently about a Japanese man who became so offended by his wife’s apparent neglect of him that he did not speak to her for 20 years. Twenty years! It’s hardly the sort of behaviour that facilitates a healthy relationship.
Unlike the Japanese man, we, at Lintrex Australia, have spent the last 20 years focusing on building healthy relationships with our clients.
For us 2017 brings a significant milestone. This year marks 20 years of serving the European automotive industry in Perth, Western Australia.
Our beginnings were quite humble – we were in a small but adequate premises in Welshpool staffed by six employees. Back then, we focused mainly on Mercedes Benz and BMW and sourced parts for other European cars as required.
As our profile grew, we built strong relationships with many European part manufacturers and that opened the way for us to expand our franchise range to include VW-Audi, Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, Porsche, Volvo and SAAB. But, of course, we continue to source for other European cars as required.
By this time, we needed more space to house our expanding business, with it’s swelling workforce and increased movement of parts, so we relocated at a much larger warehouse just down the road at 16 Tennant Street, Welshpool.
But, Perth’s growing urban sprawl and traffic congestion continued to provide logistics challenges. Our commitment to deliver the same prompt efficient service on which we had built our reputation meant that it was necessary for us to open two more branches, one in Osborne Park in 2009 and another in in Jandakot in 2016.
Looking back, it’s exciting to see how far we’ve come. We firmly believe that it has been our focus on relationship-building that has brought us this far. And we celebrate the fact that we have been able to build and maintain a loyal client base who, like us, value doing business in a relational way.
As we launch into our 21st year of business, we do so with great appreciation to our loyal clientele who have stood with us throughout our journey. Thank you.
